It looks so old. And they've put us practically in its shadow.

Which suggests either there are many of them, or there's something here they want. Something nearby.

It makes me wonder what else is out there.

Who built it in the first place.

It seems sinister as hell. But that's no basis for judgement.

It could be left over from a civilization that doesn't exist any more.

But then it's archaeology. It should be preserved.

Truth be told, the lights alarm me more than the statue itself. If we're at the base of an active volcano, I'll be asking for my money back.

Preservation isn't what we signed up for.

Considering we got dropped directly into the territories of three different types of hostile creatures, it really wouldn't surprise me.

Still, let's not seek trouble. A volcano would be tame, considering everything. Either we could outrun it in the rovers, or we couldn't.
